Cloud Sync
- Cloud Sync controls whether SpeakON stores supported content on SpeakON’s servers so it can remain available across your devices. This may include transcripts, generated text, dictation history, and SpeakON Notes.
- If Cloud Sync is enabled: transcripts, generated text, dictation history, and SpeakON Notes may be stored in SpeakON’s cloud environment, encrypted in transit and at rest. This enables cross-device access to supported features, including SpeakON Notes and dictation history. Your data is stored in U.S.-hosted infrastructure. Access is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who need it to provide, secure, or support the Services.
- If Cloud Sync is disabled: supported content is not retained for cross-device access. Disabling Cloud Sync does not affect processing necessary to provide the transcription or AI features you request. Audio and transcripts may be temporarily processed to complete your requested transcription, editing, or note-generation task. Original voice recordings are retained only for the short term necessary to provide the service output, then deleted unless you explicitly consent for feedback analysis or retention is otherwise required or permitted by law. Cross-device access to SpeakON Notes and dictation history may not be available when Cloud Sync is disabled..
-
Whether or not Cloud Sync is enabled, the following data may remain synced across your devices so SpeakON can provide core account and personalization features:
- Custom Dictionary
- Account Settings and Preferences
AI Training
SpeakON does not use your Customer Content, including voice recordings, transcripts, generated text, prompts, edits, dictation history, or SpeakON Notes, to train SpeakON AI models or third-party AI models.
Third-Party AI and Cloud Providers
SpeakON uses third-party AI, speech processing, cloud infrastructure, and service providers to provide the Services. These providers process Customer Content only on SpeakON’s behalf and under contractual restrictions. We contractually require third-party AI and infrastructure providers that process Customer Content for us not to use that content for their own AI model training, independent advertising, or unrelated purposes.
Connected Services
If you choose to sign in with Google or connect another supported service, SpeakON accesses only the account information, permissions, and content that you authorize and that is needed to provide the requested feature. This may include selected text, documents, calendar information, email, Slack content, Google Workspace information, or other connected-service content, depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant. We do not use Google user data for advertising, selling personal information, or generalized AI model training. You may disconnect supported connected services through the applicable account or app settings.
Managing Your Data
You can delete saved content in the App. You can delete your account through Account > Sign out > Delete account. You may also contact us at support@speakon.app to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights available under applicable law. Requests may be subject to identity verification where required by applicable law.
Voiceprints and Biometric Identification
SpeakON does not create voiceprints or use voice recordings to identify or authenticate you by your voice. We process voice recordings to provide requested speech-to-text, text generation, correction, SpeakON Notes, and related features.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards designed to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, security reviews, and vendor controls. SpeakON is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant for applicable systems.
Recording Consent
SpeakON is designed for user-directed voice workflows and is not intended for secretly recording others. If you record, upload, transcribe, summarize, or otherwise process speech that includes another person, you are responsible for obtaining any consent required by applicable law before using SpeakON.
